Q CELLS panels are put through many strenuous tests to ensure they survive the most extreme environments. These tests include hail damage testing where they shoot balls of ice at the panels to simulate heavy hail conditions. Q CELLS also have panels being tested and compared to competitors at the Desert Knowledge Australia Solar Centre (DKASC) in Alice Springs. At this facility panels are tested for their resistance to harsh desert climates and their outputs are compared in real time on the DKASC website.

ENDURING HIGH PERFORMANCE

For solar cells and solar modules from Q CELLS, potential induced degradation (PID) doesn't exist. Potential induced degradation can lead to a performance loss of 20 % or more, even in the first few months. Q CELLS´ proprietary Anti PID Technology will save you from this fate. Solar cells with Hot-Spots can heat up to such a high temperature that parts of a module burn out. In the worst case scenario, a module can catch fire. The Tra.Q™ code contains information about the place and date of production. This makes it possible to trace certain production conditions for each solar cell.
